It appears that peace is always followed by dreariness. We have become attention-seeking and drama seeking, that we are sickened by this state of peace where nothing of interest occurs. Therefore, we indulge in our self-destructive nature to create a melodrama of ourselves. We wake up to a new day even worse than before because the dreariness persists.'
